The USS Nimitz warship was recently deployed to the Persian Gulf. The Pentagon claims it was Trump’s withdrawal of troops in Iraq and Afganistan that precipitated the deployment of the Nimitz. There is growing concern that Trump may be planning a military strike on Iran before he leaves office, and he deployed the Nimitz to provide military support to US surogate Israel, suspected of killing Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh-Mahabadi.
Iran’s head nuclear scientist was killed in a car after an explosion and machine gun fire ambush near Tehran, according to Dailymail.com. There were hidden explosives in Mahabadi’s vehicle. Once exploded, six assassins emerged from another vehicle and opened fire. Images of the scene showed pools of blood on the road by his car and his windshield riddled with bullet holes, according to reports from Dailymail.com. Iran believes the assassination was carried out to provoke a war.
Two years ago Israel warned the world to remember Mahabadi’s name, Since 2012 there have been numerous Iranian nuclear scientists and officials assassinatied. Iran’s General Qasem Soleimani was assassinated earlier this year. The assassination of Iran’s top officials and nuclear scientists have heightened tensions to the hilt. At least one US official and several intelligence officials confirmed that Israel was behind the attack against Mahabadi, reports DailyMail.com.
