U.S. Military Sends Two B-52 Bombers, Other Military Carriers To The Persian Gulf

Last week two B-52 bombers were flown from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota to the Persian Gulf. This was the second time the U.S. military flew B-52 bombers over the Persian Gulf in less than a month reports Presstv.com. Earlier in December two B-52 bombers flew from Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana in a “presence” mission over the Gulf. Last week the U.S. Navy’s guided-missile submarine “made an unusual transit of the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic waterway between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula.” reports Politico.com.

U.S. military actions may signal Trump is planning military strikes on Iran before he leaves office. A Senior U.S. military officer speculated that Iran might be planning an attack on U.S. allied targets in Iraq or another country in the Middle East region. The U.S. military offical described the B-52 bomber mission as a deterrent against possible Iranian agression.

The U.S. military deployed the U.S.S. Nimintz warship to the Middle East last month after Israel’s suspected killing of Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. U.S. military officials say they are concerned that Iran may retaliate for the killing of top Iranian officials, including top Iranian military commander Gen. Qasem Soleimani who was killed last year.

At a 2019 press conference in Tehran The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan warned President Trump about initiating a conflict with Iran thru Israel. The Minister said “If the trigger of war in the Middle East is pulled by you using your surrogates at the insistence of Israel, then the war will trigger another kind of war which will bring China, Russia, all the nations into a war” .
