Lawsuit Claims Subway Tuna “No Tuna At All”

According to a CBS News report Subway tuna doesn’t contain any tuna. It is a “mixture of various concoctions that do not constitute tuna, yet have been blended together by defendants to imitate the appearance of tuna” alleges Alex Brown, the attorney representing plaintiffs Karen Dhanowa and Nilima Amin, the two who filed the lawsuit against Subway. “We are conducting tests to figure out what it is. The lab tests thus far have only told us what it isn’t” said Brown in an email to CBS MoneyWatch.

Brown’s clients are residents from the San Francisco Bay Area and live in Alameda County. They filed last week in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California reports NBC News. Their lawsuit claims its “anything but tuna” and that they “were tricked into buying food items that wholly lacked the ingredients they reasonably thought they were purchasing.” reports NBC News.

“Consumers are consistently misled into purchasing modified food stuffs. Subway, like many fast food restaurants choose profits over people and offer foods made cheaply and for quick consumption. Urban areas are especially impacted by an abundance of fast food restaurants offering commercialized, processed and denatured foods. Some foods contain chemicals, additives, growth hormones and antibiotics to fatten up the foods, or add to their appearance. According to the Subway’s website, the tuna salad sandwich is made with “flaked tuna in brine, mayonnaise and a flavor-protecting additive.”

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s series Farrakhan Speaks, “The Time and What Must Be Done”. Part 37 and 38 entitled “Wicked Policy and America’s National Interest” warns us of the genetic and social engineering of commercialized foods and their devastating effects. The Subway lawsuit comes during a time when Black people are suffering from the devastating consequences of consuming genetically modified and processed foods. These foods are full of chemicals and additives that cause diseases.
