Gabby Goodwin is a 14 year old entrepreneur and CEO of Confidence, a black-owned, family owned business. The company produces their own line of natural hair care and styling products for girls. Confidence brand products are sold in 12 countries, including the U.S., Canada, and South Africa, Blacknews.com reports. Goodwin and her mother Rozalynn Goodwin started the company in 2014.
Gabby Goodwin was 7 years old when the “mother-daughter duo” began selling GaBBY Bows through their online store, reports Blacknews.com. The GaBBY Bow design snaps securely into place adding beauty to the hair style and providing confidence that the barrette will remain in place. “GaBBY Bow solves the age-old problem of the disappearing girls hair barrette” explained Gabby Goodwin. Goodwin’s complete line of hair styling products for girls and her GaBBY Bows are plant-based and safe to use. The products reduce hair detangling time and “removes stress from the styling process”.
Gabby Goodwin credits the sacrifices of her parents, Comedian Mike Goodwin and Rozalynn Goodwin for assisting her with establishing the business and helping secure a headquarters for business operations. Confidence is now located in a faciility with space for production, training and workshops, retail, a salon, and office space for MTG Comedy” reports Blacknews.com. The Goodwin’s anticipate the investment in the commercial real estate will create generational wealth for their family.
Goodwin continues to inspire other girls through her online hair care tutorials, children’s book, keynote speaking engagements, and virtual entrepreneurship academy for girls.
